When the weather gets nice in New York, suddenly everyone’s mood changes. People seem happier, fashion changes, and the day just seems better. On Saturday it finally felt like spring. I was able to go out without a coat, and walk around without freezing half to death. I enjoyed an awesome lunch with my friend at French Roast, and we even got to sit outside! Spring in the city reminds me of why I love to live here so much, which is something I tend to forget during the winter, so I decided to tell you all a few of my favorite things New York has to offer.

Favorite Restaurant: Po.  A gorgeous, intimate Italian restaurant and funny enough it is located on my favorite street! www.porestaurant.com

Favorite Street: Cornelia Street. Right in the heart of the West Village, Cornelia Street is a  short, tree-lined street right off the busy Bleeker Street. It’s dotted with cute café’s and restaurants, and to me, feels like you are secluded from the hustle and bustle of NYC.

Favorite clothing store: All Saints Spitalfield

Favorite Pizza Place: Rosella’s Pizzeria. Located right next to my apartment which is sometimes a bad thing.

Favorite things to do with friends: Go bowling at Lucky Strikes.

Favorite Chinese food: Philippe Chow. So expensive but absolutely the best Chinese ever. www.philippechow.com

Best area for shopping: Broadway in Soho. Anywhere from Canal Street to West Houston Street. All your favorites: Zara, H&M, All Saints: Armani Exchange, Top Shop, Madewell and more.

Best area to window shop: 5th Avenue. 47th-59th street. All the best designers: Prada, Louis Vitton, Fendi, Dolce and Gabbana, Emporio Armani, and more.

Favorite rooftop: Le Bain at the top of the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District. From one side you can see the Empire Etate Building, the other side looks over the Hudson River. Just gorgeous.

Best walk: West 4th street to Perry Street along Bleeker Street. I love to walk here and look at the window displays. Also, the famous Magnolias Cupcakes are located here, so it’s even more of an incentive to walk here!

Favorite club: May be biased, but I always have the best time at Juliet Supperclub.

Best place for sweets:  Baked by Melissa Cupcakes. These cupcakes are the size of a quarter, but are packed with so much flavor. They offer flavors such as smores, chocolate chip pancake, red velvet, rainbow, peanut butter cup, cookies and cream, and cookie dough. I always buy 6 at a time!! www.bakedbymelissa.com

While these are just a few of my own favorite things, the best thing about New York is that is has so much to offer, each person has their own favorite things. I just hope the weather continues to improve because I am so ready to switch over into my spring wardrobe!
